How To Transfer Email Data To Gmail - learn apart

Gmail is an email service equipped with useful features.  In this, the user gets features like integration of Google Drive, email schedule feature, advanced search, spam block, etc., but it lacks the feature to easily transfer email data from other email services.  But there are some ways that you can try and easily transfer email data from one mail to another.

Yahoo to Gmail: 

If you have stopped using Yahoo Mail now, you need to log in to your Gmail account on the desktop to transfer email data from here to Gmail.  If done by phone, you can log in to Gmail on the web browser.


• When you are logged in, then click on the 'Settings gear' icon, which you will find in the top right corner.  After going into the settings, go to the section 'Account and Import'.  You will find this at the top of the settings page.



• After that you have to click on 'Import Mail and Contact'.  If you are bringing email data from Yahoo to Gmail here, then you have to enter your Yahoo email address.  Then click on Continue.  Now Gmail will search your Yahoo address and a new window will open, where you will have to log in to your Yahoo account.


 • After the sign-in process, you will be asked for permission for data transfer.  Close the window by clicking on the Agri button.  Now you come to the previous window.  Select what you want to import here.


• You can import both contacts and emails from Yahoo.  Again Click on 'Start Import'.  After the import is complete, click 'OK'.  Now you can see email data imported from Yahoo on Gmail.

Hotmail to Gmail: 

Here too the process of transferring email data from Hotmail to Gmail is almost the same.  Here too first you have to enter the Hotmail account after going to Gmail Settings > Accounts & Import> Import Mail & Contacts>.

• Now login to the Hotmail account.  Permissions will then be sought to transfer email data in a pop-up window.


• Here you can select what to transfer with contact and email data.  Then click on 'Start Import'.  After the import is complete, click 'OK'.  Emails imported from Hotmail can be viewed on Gmail.
